"I look down at the people and I think about how everybody's got problems. Maybe not a secret government agency on their ass, but, you know... problems. And if I sit up here long enough, I start to feel like I'm just one of those people... a regular girl. ." +++ DA

Something that never fails to catch my attention: how people only value you according to what's in your wallet.

Say someone gets angry at you for some reason or something, they make up with you so long as they can assure themselves that you will give them the money they're asking for. Afterwards, you're relegated to being a worthless and disrespectful lowlife.

Then there's another thing that i can't understand about Filipinos - how is it that when a guy beats a girl, the first question is directed to the girl, "what did you do?" I mean in the US and in most European nations, if a girl gets hit, the police comes barging in and brings the guy in for custody. here, the police never arrives even after calling them 5 times. And then you have relatives telling you that you should pray and elave everything to God. I eman i don't ahve anything against God, but I don't think he required that people leave everything up to him to the extent that people don''t use their brains anymore.
